I love dancing with you. Two girls fighting for their lives, together in the playroom at the hospital. It was fun at the time, but now I see what the nurses saw. Friends, giving each other strength. A big sister protecting her little sister. Not really sisters, but having cancer gives you a family you didn’t ask for yet you love them unconditionally. They saw two beautiful souls during the worst time of their lives and making the best of it.

Welcome to Spread the Lovely!! We are Deja & Alysia, 15 years of age. I (Alysia) have cancer, am a dancer, love laughing & reading. Deja is an amazing almost pro tennis player, loves books, has one friend (ME!!) and is a crazy, lovely person.

I was diagnosed with leukemia on my bestfriend's birthday. Deja's been amazing with me through everything. We plan on making Spread the Lovely a charity.

That profile picture is from a couple months ago, us looking all awkward and such. Even though we both had tons of trouble in our lives, we still found a moment to genuinely laugh.

This is not your average tumblr. We have realized with our 15 years of life that this world is not as lovely as it should be. But why? It's a beautiful world filled with angry people. We're here to change that.

We're just starting out, so we're kind of small. Here are some examples of what led us to this.

I (Alysia) went to Camp Boggy Creek, a cancer camp for kids this summer. The motto there was "Hugs and High Fives". People there were so much NICER than in the real world. I want to spread that feeling I got there.

This morning, my mom came home crying because her boss said she was dressed like a HOE. A HOE. MY MOTHER.. If you have ever met my mother, you would never think of that. Plus, she wasn't even dressed like a hoe. But she had to come home and change. Who would make that comment, just to make himself feel better?

Alaina Giodano lost her kids because she has breast cancer. If you had cancer, and only had a couple of months to live would you want your kids to be miles and miles away from you? Taking kids away if you were abusive, a druggie, or a dumbfuck mother would be understandable. Getting your kids taken away for having cancer is unacceptable!!!

Lastly, One Spark Can Start a Fire went around and gave free hugs to everyone on the street. Wouldn't that make you smile? So their spark inspired us to do this.

So, if you made it to the end of this long writing, I hope this blog makes you smile. I hope it warms your heart. Please share with us the LOVELY things you do. Giving someone a smile, words of love, or something to make their day could keep them from killing themselves! It could pull them out of depression! It could make someones day! Find you the love of your life! Find you a friend :)
